Troubleshooting

This page contains quick checks before contacting assistance.

The device does not turn on​

Check:

  • power supply present;
  • upstream protections;
  • wiring;
  • fuses if provided;
  • absence of short circuit;
  • correct hardware revision.

Do not open the device.

The display turns on but the lamp does not​

Check:

  • selected program;
  • time and date;
  • lamp profile;
  • output configuration;
  • compatible lamp;
  • connections and terminals.

The lamp flickers​

Possible causes:

  • non-dimmable lamp;
  • incorrect lamp profile;
  • stable minimum too low;
  • unsuitable wiring;
  • disturbances or incompatible load.

Test with a lamp supplied or verified by Season Generator.

The neon does not activate​

Check:

  • Dimmable + neon mode;
  • product version;
  • neon wiring;
  • lamp profile;
  • end of sunset ramp;
  • any active protections.

If the neon does not activate at the expected point, check connections and configuration of the output mode.

Temperature protection intervenes​

Check:

  • ventilation;
  • room temperature;
  • load connected;
  • control unit position;
  • dissipation;
  • load connected.

Current protection intervenes​

Check:

  • lamp power;
  • short or false contact;
  • incompatible load;
  • absorption during dawn/dusk.

Turn off the control unit, check the load and turn it back on only after having removed the probable cause.

The time moves​

Check:

  • time and date set;
  • any long periods without power;
  • consistency between current date and selected program.

Information to prepare​

For assistance prepare:

  • product photo;
  • wiring photo;
  • lamp model;
  • lamp profile;
  • selected program;
  • description of the problem;
  • any photos or videos of the behavior.
